Light the Lamp

The casual puzzle game Light the Lamp has you putting the hanging plug into the socket while avoiding different objects. The goal is to turn on the lamp.

Each phase begins with a hanging plug and socket. You must carefully traverse the plug, adjust the cord length, and utilize simple mechanisms to avoid touching blades or red-marked cutters. Levels are increasingly incorporating cable-operated switches, small sections that require finesse, and layouts that prioritize strategy over raw power. To win, approach a live outlet, and the lamp will glow.

Controls

• Move or swing the plug exactly with the arrow keys or WASD.
• When a route fails, restart promptly.
• In some builds, pressing Esc either pauses or returns you to the menu.
• Some versions support fine cable extension or retractation via Up/Down.

Tips & Tricks

• Plan your route in your mind before you move. Every inch counts.
• Use wire shielding on walls to create safe blade arcs.
• Don't worry about restarts. Learning loops contain quick resets.
• After you have stabilized the plug, thread a tight gap. Small inputs outperform large swings.
