How to play Words or Die.
Objectives and game descriptions
The game begins on a bright field, where you and the other players find yourselves. To complete the game and win, you must be able to apply your knowledge and link words together. The lava rises steadily through the stages. To keep your character safe, stay concentrated and try to connect as many sentences as possible.
Create words with the letters provided.
Each level includes a set of random, scrambled letters. Use your left mouse click or touchscreen to create valid words from those letters before time runs out (and the lava rises). Only words with three or more letters count. Accepted words become bricks beneath your feet, sheltering you from the hot lava.
Survive and progress through the most difficult phases.
As you go through the phases, you will receive additional letters. This means more opportunity to produce words. However, the lava level rises more rapidly, heightening the risk. If you do not build blocks quickly enough, you will be removed. So, keep alert and connect as many sentences as you can to protect yourself from the rising lava.
Tip: Longer and more difficult words will generate more blocks. Thus, aim for those phrases, as they will allow you to ascend faster and stay ahead of the approaching danger.
